Actor Rodney Rowland, the youngest of five children, was born on February 20th, 1964 in Newport Beach, California.

He attended Pepperdine University on a water-polo scholarship, but left after being discovered as a model. In addition to being a regular model for the J. Crew catalog, he took part in many major designers' campaigns and can be seen in several issues of GQ magazine throughout the late 80's and early 90's.

When photographer Bruce Weber indicated that he should take up acting..... he did. Studying for several years he did off-off Broadway work and some small parts before landing the pivotal role of First Lt. Cooper Hawkes in the 1995 Fox series Space: Above and Beyond.
